Apoxie Sculpt by Aves studio, the best epoxy for sculpting I've found!! Well first it would probably help if I backed up & explained what I use it for.

I collect model horse figurines, and believe it or not there is a huge model horse hobby where one of the common things to do is to take models by companies like Breyer  and customize them.

I might take a standing horse & reposition it with a heat gun (softening the plastic) into a galloping pose and then resculpt in all the musculature and detail before  I paint it. Or sometimes I'd do a piece totally from scratch over a wire base in it.

I used to use a 2 part hand moldable epoxy made by a company in California called Martin Carbone  they used to make it strictly for industrial use like repairing gas tanks but once they ealized the model horse hobby had caught on and was buying them to remake models they named it "Gapoxio" & started selling it with a little flyer that included a pic of a model sculpted from it.

A few months ago I read a post on the "Haynet" model horse mailing list recommending your product so I went to the web page & ordered some. After using Apoxie Sculpt I can safely say that as long as you are in business I won't be using any other brand!

I find the Apoxie Sculpt has a much smoother consistency than the "Gapoxio" and mixes better by hand. Also while I am sculpting it holds it's shape better (especially good for sculpting ears) and also sands down smoother. On top of that it was quite a bit cheaper to boot! I'm convinced : ) I've been recommending it to everybody I know and have posted about it on several model  bulletin boards.

To give you an idea what we do with it I'm sending along two pix....one is of an original Breyer model ("buckshot" mold) and the 2nd is of a drastically resculpted one by my room mate Judy Renee Pope (a better artist than myself).

Hope this helps & thanks for making such a great product!!
