Hi, my name is Norm "Kitman" Piatt. I write a column in Modeler's Resource Magazine called "Kitman Converts". I'm an Aves true believer, I can't imagine not having it on my work bench now! I'd be lost without it. It is, in my opinion to be the best Epoxy Putty on the market. I do all of my model conversions and sculpting with it, I highly recommend Aves being on every modeler's work bench!
My Templar Knight is my first model conversion using Aves Apoxie Sculpt. I converted this piece from Polar Lights Headless Horseman kit. This is the kit conversion that landed me the job writing for Modeler's Resource. Without Aves.......... I don't know if I could have accomplished this.
The list of Aves products I use grows with each new modeling project! ClayShay, Master Mache, Apoxie Clay, Apoxie Paste all have a permanent place in my hobby arsenal.
The Joker bust I sculpted entirely out of Aves Apoxie Sculpt! The base is covered in ClayShay to create the stone texture. Putting my own twist on this already sick villian! I added body piercings, and in the final paint he will have tattoos!
I hope you enjoy checking out the rest of my work, Punisher, Maximus, Superman, Dinoman and the Batman & Joker diorama. I want to thank the Aves crew for making Aves Apoxie Sculpt and all the other wonderful products they put out. It makes modeling more fun!
Make sure to pick up the newest issue of Modeler's Resource to see my next Aves model conversion!

Norm Piatt continues to use Aves products for great results. Check out some of his amazing work below!
Polar Lights Headless Horseman Kit, customized with Apoxie® Sculpt This model customization is what landed Norm his position with the great trade magazine Modeler’s Resource. (Picture © Modeler’s Resource)
Apoxie® Sculpt was used to “create” the DareDevil. It’s an amazing transformation from the raw model to the finished result! (Pictures © Modeler’s Resource)

Batman is another customizing job. Here, the “Caped Crusader’s” cape is made entirely out of Apoxie® Sculpt. (Pictures © Modeler’s Resource)

DinoMan and his DinoDogs . . . yet another customized creation by Kitman.

Norm wrote . . . ”Thought you might like to see my new Aves sculpt. A modern day Joker, it’s my take on the Joker if he were around today. He'll have body piercing and tattoos when he's all through. The base is covered in ClayShay and have Jester skulls sculpted onto the base sides. The piece is about 8" tall off the base and 14'' on. Sculpted completely out of Aves!”

Superman, the “Man of Steel”, clearing twisted steel girders. Pictures shown before and after Apoxie “steel” added. (Pictures © Modeler’s Resource)

The Punisher is shown here in various customization stages . . . hardly possible without Aves® Apoxie® Sculpt. When are you going to try it?
